Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted for Publication in the Academic and Practical Journal
“Marketing in Russia and Abroad”
The journal is included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The journal covers the following scientific fields according to the HAC classification of academic specialties:
- 5.2.3 Regional and Sectoral Economics
- 5.2.6 Management

The Editorial Board kindly asks authors to pay attention to the submission requirements and conditions for manuscripts intended for publication.

1. Manuscript Submission Requirements
- Manuscripts are considered only if accompanied by a completed author questionnaire (attached) containing contact information.
- The manuscript must have a scientific or scientific-practical focus and contain original research results or author-developed solutions (citations are allowed only with references to the original sources).
- Manuscripts must comply with the formatting requirements specified below.
- The manuscript review period is up to 2 months.
Articles are published only after signing an agreement with the author.
No publication fees are charged to authors. No author remuneration is provided, either in monetary form or in the form of a complimentary journal copy.

2. Manuscript Formatting Requirements
The manuscript should be prepared using Microsoft Word in DOC (DOCX) or RTF format.
Formatting requirements:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Minimum length: 5 pages
- Maximum length: 12 pages
- Pages must be numbered.
The manuscript must include the thematic classification code:
- UDC / LBC classification of the article.
The following information must be provided in both Russian and English:
- article title;
- author’s full name;
- academic degree (if available);
- academic title;
- position;
- affiliation;
- contact information (e-mail address).
Identification numbers (if available):
- SPIN-code;
- Author ID;
- Scopus ID;
- RSCI ID;
- ORCID;
- ResearcherID
should be indicated after the author’s credentials and e-mail address.
The manuscript must include:
- an abstract (10–15 sentences);
- keywords.
3. Figures
If figures and references to them are included in the manuscript:
- figures must be numbered;
- numbering must correspond to references in the text.
If figures are created in Microsoft Word, they must be grouped.
All graphical materials must be prepared in a format allowing further editing and modification without additional requests to the authors.
The use of scanned images or graphics taken from the Internet is not permitted, as such materials cannot be edited.
All figures must be presented in black-and-white format. Full-color figures are not permitted.
Each figure must include a caption:
- prepared in black-and-white format;
- without shadows;
- containing a brief title and description.
Text inside figures should be minimized. All abbreviations and symbols used must be explained.
Authors are encouraged to submit not only the manuscript file but also original source files of figures if they were created outside Microsoft Word.
4. Equations
For formula preparation, the use of MathType is recommended.
When using the Equation Editor, ensure compliance with the following requirements:
- formulas must use the same font as the main text;
- formulas must remain editable;
- Latin letters must be italicized;
- Russian and Greek letters, as well as numbers, must use regular (upright) font;
- formulas referenced in the text must be numbered on the right in parentheses;
- simple formulas should preferably be typed inline as ordinary text where possible, using the slash symbol (/) instead of a horizontal fraction line, for example: X/Y;
- all letter symbols must be explained immediately after the formula.
5. Tables
Tables must be submitted as editable text, not as images.
Tables must:
- have titles;
- be numbered;
- be placed after the paragraph where they are first referenced.
All notes to tables must be placed below the tables.
6. Abbreviations
All abbreviations, acronyms and shortened terms must be explained at their first occurrence.
The same abbreviations must be used consistently throughout the manuscript.
Example:
World Economic Forum (hereinafter referred to as WEF) is one of the most authoritative global experts.
References
The article must end with:
- a list of references in the original language;
- a transliterated version of the references.
Both lists must follow the same order and contain identical information.
References in the text must be indicated by numbers in square brackets according to the order of appearance.
The first cited source must be the first source listed in the bibliography.
All sources listed in the references must be cited in the text.
All figures and tables must also be referenced.
If data from any organization are used in the article, references to the sources of these data are mandatory (for example, an electronic resource with the access date may be indicated).
The reference list should contain no more than 2–3 references to the author’s own publications.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to edit manuscripts and shorten promotional materials.
